Information for New or Prospective Members

Welcome to Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise!
We are a hands-on, energetic club of Rotarians who care about youth, community, the environment, and international service.
Sunrise Rotarians raise over $200,000 a year for local and global causes — Santa Cruz High Track & Field, Second Harvest, CASA, Teen Kitchen, and a dozen more. Members also roll up their sleeves directly: Adopt-a-Highway cleanups, the Homeless Garden Project, Second Harvest gleaning, and more.
Joining connects you with our club locally and Rotary's 1.2 million members in 46,000+ clubs worldwide.

How do I start?
Our process is fairly simple:
2. Get to know the club and members and decide if you want to join us
3.Have your sponsor fill out the member nomination form
4. Complete an application
What it costs:
- Annual dues: $300 (discounted for family, couple, and young professional memberships)
- Weekly meetings: $10 (coffee) or $20 (breakfast)
- Most members spend $450–$1,000+/year total, including optional fundraisers and socials
What we expect
Passion, engagement, and fun — at your own pace. Weekly attendance is encouraged, but what matters most is getting involved in committee work, service projects, and fundraisers.
We also provide you a mentor to help you in your Red Badge to Blue Badge journey. We have guidelines for our mentors to assist you.
We track your red badge to blue badge completion on a spreadsheet (login required to view actual one; this is a sample).
