Last Week Today

• September's Rotarian of the Month, Tom Knott. Seems like it was just yesterday when Tom was a Red Badger. Quite the incoming group! Here's what was written about Tom at the time.
  Tom Knott is a grizzled Rotary old-timer with 19+ years under his belt. He recently transferred from a Monterey area club to the sunnier side of the bay.  Not wasting any time or any of his talents, Tom immediately stepped up to assuming the Club Service Committee chairmanship. When he's not herding rotarian cats for Club Service, Tom operates Tom Knott & Associates Consulting Mechanical Engineers.

• Scholarship Update. Dave Campbell offered a brief update on Maddie Piona who's carrying full set of classes, interning, and she made Dean's list at the end of her freshman year. To hear more about her voyage so far, check out the video of last week's meeting and go to 18:40 in the program.

• Lori Butterworth, CEO of AIM
  You probably know her as the amazing founder of Jacob's Heart. Now, with Jacob's Heart in "great hands" she's taken her passion and skills to AIM where they're building a movement and bridging the gap between research and access to care for youth struggling with their mental health and, just as important, training caring adults to create a safe holding place for youth in crisis.
