  • Adopt-A-Highway Clean-up on November 14, from 8:00am- 11:00am RSVP to Jon Winston
  • Rotaract "Mentorship and Mocktails" 'speed-dating' event is set for this upcoming Saturday (11/14) between 3.30pm and 6.00pm at Bruno's in Scotts Valley. There will be17 Rotaract members (all UCSC students)  hoping to find a spark of connection to fire-up a mentorship relationship that will give them some invaluable personal support as they prepare to embark upon a new vocation.   • Rotary Area 7 Rotary Party to support Rising International on Thursday, November 19, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Michaels on Main in Soquel. Heavy appetizers and a no-host bar with a speaker from Rising International and the opportunity to get your holiday gifts while supporting women being freed from human trafficking.  The cost is $25 per person and bring your checkbook if you want to shop! RSVP to Karen Gosling so we can order the right amount of food. Encourage your Rotarian friends to join us!
  • Deadline this month. Guatemala water purification project trip January 5-11, 2016. Our club has contributed to this project and it would be nice to have Sunrise Rotarians participate. The team still needs the following skill sets to join them: Fluent Spanish translator; health, hygiene and sanitation professionals to work with Mayan leadership; finance/HOA background to work with Mayan HOA on meters, accounting and fees structures to insure financial sustainability; Rotarians who have a sustained interest in working on their own rural safe drinking water projects next year or in the future.   •  Rotary Foundation.  We are at 70%. Please support, "Every Rotarian, Every Year" campaign.  If you have any questions, please contact Rod Caborn. Our goal is to have 100% support by each Rotarian. Please bring your checks to the next Rotary meeting. November is Rotary Foundation Month. Help us reach out goal.
  • District 5170 Cabinet Meeting and Youth Fair on December 2 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the India Community Center in Milpitas.
  • Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Holiday Party at the Sesnon House on Thursday, December 3 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.  If you can help contact Mary Anne Kramer-Urner.  This is a great event to bring your significant other.  A sign-up sheet will be distributed at our upcoming meetings.  The cost is $35 per person.
  •  Rotary International President KR "Ravi" Ravindran will be speaking in San Jose on Sunday, January 3 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Double Tree in San Jose.
