Rotary Cares & Rotary Builds!

On April 19, 2008 our Community Service committee went to work. Committee Chair Michael Bethke identified the need at the Harbor Light Church Loving & Learning Day Care School.

We came, we built, we ate, we sweat, we passed out! What a perfect day to build a playground. And the perfect crew showed up! It's amazing what can happen when a bunch of big-hearted folks show up to help the community. Fearless leader Bethke, Dina Blair, Tom Wichelmann, Aaron McDonald, Ron Sessions, Jeff & Andrew Talmadge, Bill Schulette (SC Club), Mark and Will Junod and Tom Knott had fun playing in the mud by digging holes and trenches in order to get most of the playground assembled and prepped for installation.

Mike and another crew will return this Friday to pour the cement and finish the project. A killer lunch was promised AND delivered!
