"Tom Baldrige, Lancaster Chamber President" Zoom & In Person Mtg
Lancaster Chamber Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Task Force

Lancaster Chamber President Tom Baldrige will be joined by Vanessa Philbert and Alex Brame in presenting a report from the Lancaster Chamber Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Task Force.

Stepping out from a year of incredible challenge: a global pandemic and in turn its economic instability, and with respect to the long overdue movement toward racial equity and justice - the LCC is dedicated to increasing its capacity to find and create resources, in partnership with the appropriate stakeholders and experts, that will support the journey of local businesses in integrating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) practices into the core of their business structures.

Announcements

All Hands on Deck for Wheels and Wings on July 24!

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Our Wheels and Wings Festival & 5K at Lancaster Airport is about two weeks away. The race, car show, and fly-in on Saturday, July 24, are shaping up to be the best yet!

Now we ask for every member’s help to ensure a great family experience that supports summer programs for Lancaster youth—and all of our Club’s other local and global service projects.

1) Volunteer. Committee members will have sign-up sheets at the back of the room once we begin meeting in person on June 30. We need lots of help—especially if the event draws the large numbers we think it will—and we have a wide variety of jobs. Whether it’s for an hour or all day, please join us!

2) Become an event sponsor at any level by July 7. You no longer have basketball tickets or program ads to buy, and you’ve been saving money on lunches for more than a year. Any sponsorship amount is welcome! You can make your donation online at www.lancasterrotary.org/donate/. Contact Jamie Alton at jalton141@comcast.net with any questions.

The work we all do in the next two weeks will guarantee a great summer for Lancaster youth. Thank you for helping to make the return of the Wheels and Wings Festival & 5K a roaring success!

Yours in Rotary,

Steve Dietrich
WW5K Chair

Help Keep the Club Calendar Updated

All Rotarians – especially committee chairs – are encouraged to help keep our new Club Calendar full and updated with the great things that our Club is doing in the community.  Please submit any items you would like added to Kathy by e-mailing her at RotaryClubofLancaster@gmail.com.  Examples include the schedule of McCaskey Mentoring Sessions, Committee Meetings, Power Packs or Salvation Army Bell Ringing. If it’s happening, let’s get it on the Calendar for all to see!  Your help will keep us all updated with what’s going on within the Club AND will showcase our very active Club to the Lancaster Community and to prospective members.  The Club Calendar is available at www.LancasterRotary.org
