This document summarizes our five Committees, some of which have Sub-Committees with specific areas of focus. Please review and let us know which Committees and/or Sub-Committees you are interested in joining or would like to learn more about.

FIVE COMMITTEES:
1) Community Service, 2) Fundraising, 3) Membership, 4) Public Image, 5) Youth
- COMMITTEE: COMMUNITY SERVICE (6 Sub-Committees)
The Community Service Committee covers several areas of community support in the following Sub-Committees:
- The Food Insecurity Sub-Committee focuses on the food insecurity programs that Rhinebeck Rotary supports. This includes
- The Community Health & Wellness Sub-Committee focuses on efforts to support health & wellness in our community. These currently include Wellness Walks, and the Parkinson’s Support Group (in partnership with Starr Library).
- Community Drives: We currently hold a Blanket Drive (February), Bike drive (May), and a Coat Drive (October).
- Community Handyman Service: We help with simple house tasks, such as changing lightbulbs, smoke alarms, installing safety bars, etc.
- : Once per year this team cleans up a section of highway to keep our area clean and safe.
- Chancellor Livingston School Journal Project: Journals are collected and donated to the school for student use.
2. COMMITTEE: FUNDRAISING (3 Sub-Committees)
The Fundraising Committee organizes and executes successful fundraising events, including the annual Golf Tournament, Spirit of Service Awards, and Cocktails for Charity events.
- The Golf Tournament has been a key fundraiser for Rhinebeck Rotary.
- The Spirit of Service Awards event recognizes outstanding Rhinebeck residents and Rotarians for their service to the community and the world.
- Cocktails for Charity is a quarterly evening event (taking the place of Cocktails and Conversation that month) to raise awareness and funds for a local charity.
3. COMMITTEE: MEMBERSHIP
The role of the Membership Committee is to develop and implement an action plan for membership recruitment, managing prospective members through the process of qualification and application, orientation, engagement in the Club, and retention.
4. COMMITTEE: PUBLIC IMAGE (formerly called PR/Website/Social Media)
The goal of the Public Image Committee is to leverage a variety of channels (website, social media, press, and more) to engage with the community, to spark curiosity about and interest in Rhinebeck Rotary, and to provide information on our events and services. We want to be able to tell the story of Rhinebeck Rotary and our members to encourage collaboration and support.
5. COMMITTEE: YOUTH (4 Sub-Committees)
The Youth Committee oversees four Sub-Committees, including the Interact Club, the Student International Trip, Rotaract, and RYLA:
- The Interact Club provides management and guidance to our community service minded high school students who do community service, including international projects.
- The Student International Trip gives selected students the opportunity to raise funds and take a service trip overseas (i.e., Guatemala).
- Rotaract is a club for Interactors to continue their community service in college and the first few years after college.
- RYLA is a five-day conference for rising juniors in high schools throughout the Hudson Valley that teaches the importance of positivity, confidence and leadership. This Committee supports the event by selecting the RYLA student participants.
