Rotary Club "Ham for the Holidays"

Every year in November and December, the Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine conducts a "Ham for the Holidays" campaign in Timmins and area. Working with our partner, Levis Foodland (Airport Road), we are able to offer for $25 each a vacuum-packed 2.2 kg (5 lb) Black Forest ham in a gift box to use as gifts for friends and family, for employees of a company, or for donation to the needy through organizations such as the food banks, the Good Samaritan Inn, the Lord`s Kitchen, the Salvation Army, etc. Last year, thanks to generous donations by residents and by our customers in the business sector, a total of 917 hams were purchased, with 240 hams distributed to the needy in the area.
