Deployment Dinner, Nov 5 2009

A specail thank you to Bonnie Orr, Dave Hawkins and Karen FitzPatrick who led the volunteers at this event. It was a team effort with Middletown Rotary, Wallkill East Rotary and the ANG's First Sergeants. A first this year was bringing in Loughran's Restaurant to do the cooking. That was a big relief to Jeanne Dion and her family, who previously coordinated the meal preparation. Everyone did their part to honor these brave men and women and I'm told that they were all touched by this event. We really need to recognize Provident Bank for stepping up and making a $1,000 donation to cover some of the costs. Thank you, Dave Hawkins, for procurring this sponsorship. Bonnie Orr did a terrific job getting desserts from local bakeries and stores. Can't wait to do this again next year! Thank you to all Rotarians and guests who made this event a success!
