Dear Fellow Rotarians,

It‘s been an interesting few weeks to say the least regarding our District Conference. Our original plan was to hold our District Conference at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs. Last Monday we were informed by the management of the hotel that they would not be able to host our conference due to flood damage to the facility. Fortunately, they assisted us in finding an excellent replacement hotel and we were connected with The Sagamore Hotel at Lake George. We visited the facility last week and it is SUPERB!  Actually, better than the original facility.  The rooms are sumptuous and the four-star setting in Bolton’s Landing on the banks of Lake George is spectacular! After some deft negotiating by our conference Chair PDG David Green we were able to keep the price within a dollar or so of the original offering.
The Sagamore Hotel in Bolton’s Landing is about 45 minutes north of Saratoga. The atmosphere in Adirondack State Park is idyllic. We apologize for the inconvenience and the drama but it was unavoidable.
However, we believe that we have an excellent location for our District Conference. Now we need your support for the event. Please, spend a weekend with us at the historic Sagamore in Lake George. Let’s have some fun and celebrate Our District and Earth Day together!

Yours in Rotary,

District Governor Jim Damiani
