Incoming president Sal Gambino was presented with a special pair of Rotary socks by outgoing co-president Marjorie Keith during the dinner.
Maria Quezada and Marjorie Nichols Keith were lauded for their efforts as co-presidents during the past year while Sal Gambino was wished well in the new leadership capacity when the Carmel Rotary conducted its installation dinner last Thursday evening at the Centennial Golf Club.
Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self was evident when members presented a variety of service awards to community members including retired teacher Joan Newman who donates handmade quilts to the chapter which are used as fundraisers for chapter causes including student scholarships.
Mary Shanley was named as Rotarian of the Year.
