Like to hike? DSE Rotary has a new Hiking Group just formed with a fun agenda ahead.
The first hike, led by Buzz Eddy, starts at 8:30 AM Wednesday June 3 at Lair O the Bear Park.
The Trailhead is at 22550 State Hwy 74 in Idledale.
Lair o’ the Bear Park is a favorite of Jeffco Parks & Open Space visitors, with 8 miles of trails in the park itself and, for a challenging experience, a 12.6-mile, round-trip journey on Bear Creek Trail passing through three adjoining Denver Mountain Parks to the west.
Future hikes at other favorite locations will take place on July 8 (LouAne Eperson, lead) and July 21 (Fred Shaw, lead). Check the calendar on the Club website and bulletin.
