October Hike – Waterton Canyon

Please join us on Wednesday, October 21st at 9:00 for a fall hike in Waterton Canyon.  We should have some Autumn color to enjoy by then.  This is an easy hike along a wide dirt and gravel road which follows the South Platte River.  Big Horn Sheep and Mule Deer frequent the canyon, but dogs are not allowed.   The road leads approximately 6 miles to the Strontia Springs Reservoir but you can hike as far as you choose.  This is also the beginning of the Colorado Trail.  There are bathrooms along the way.  

There is a large, free dirt/gravel parling lot on hte east side of Waterton Road and the trail head is on the west side of the road. Attached is a link for more information:
