Weekly Meeting of April 11, 2011

A highlight of our weekly meeting was an informative presentation by Chris Fleming (pictured) about gold's evolving role in the marketplace. Mr. Fleming has excellent credentials to know all about this shiny precious metal and its history and future. He holds a PhD in chemistry and is a specialist in extractive metallurgy and has recently retired from his position as CEO of SGS Lakefield Research but still maintains a position as a senior adviser. It was fascinating to discover that gold never disappears but is endlessly recycled and its history as a central part of the world's economy.
