Remembrance Day and Visiting Scot Curlers, Weekly Meeting of Nov. 5 , 2012

Our weekly meeting was held at the Peterborough Curling Club and we were joined by team captain Matt Murdoch and his team of 22 avid curlers who are visiting from Scotland and who are staying with local Rotarians. Our Remembrance Day observation was very special and interesting. Rotarian Lloyd Graham interviewed three Rotarian Veterans: John Turner (WW II), Frank Gishman (WW II) and Peter Koeslag (Korea) (pictured). Amazingly, all 3 served in the Air Force. John joined up at age 19, in 1942. Frank was 21 when he enlisted, and Peter was 18.
