Musicfest produces the free summer concerts for 10 weeks at Del Crary Park on Wednesday and Saturday evenings during the summer. The Rotary Clubs of Peterborough & Peterborough-Kawartha operate the 50/50 draws at every concert as a fundraiser for the Clubs and Musicfest. Another fundraiser we participate in is the selling of Diner’s Cards which each have 30 coupons for discounts in area eateries and sell for $20. At our weekly meeting of December 03, Pat Hooper and Tracey Randall (pictured) of Musicfest thanked us for our contributions and brought an ample supply of Diner's Cards.  Nick Avlonitis has distributed 200 Diner’s Club booklets for Rotarians to sell. This has the potential to raise funds for the club  and since they are a great value it makes them easy to sell, so we should be able to sell out!  Our guest speaker this week was Wayne Harding, the CFO of McCloskey International Ltd. He presented the history of the company since its inception in 1985, in Ajax, Ontario. The Peterborough operation is 400,000 sq, ft. with plans for an additional 100,000 sq. ft. and employs 300 people.
