Sgt at Arms Pete MacLoghlin selected John as his Rotarian of the Month for September.John was chosen as the representative of club members that served on The District Conference organizing committee. John was the chair of the registration committee & spent countless hours behind the scenes to ensure that the Conference ran smoothly.John has been a member of our club since 1974. He served as President in 1984-85, Club Secretary for several years,& led a GSE team to England in 1999.John represents the spirit of Rotary as a committed Rotarian who works quietly behind the scenes & always completes any project that he has agreed to participate in.Perhaps John's most significant contribution to Rotary was in 1989 when he represented our club as the Mentor in the formation of The Rotary Club of Peterborough-Kawartha which meant that he recruited the members required to form the club & guided these future Rotarians on the path to becoming a chartered club.
