Israel's Consul General Guest Speaker

Toronto-based Israel Consul General Amir Gissen (pictured) was the guest speaker at our weekly meeting of January 24.
Mr. Gissen was an articulate and very thought-provoking speaker.
He spoke about the similarities between the Canadian and Israeli spirit and values. He also addressed the common threat to both of our countries from "radical Islam" and the role of Iran in much of the current political and social upheaval. Rotarian Alan Ingram thanked Mr. Gissen with a very insightful reflection on the role of Jewish community leaders in the development of the Rotary movement and its many programs.
