The Rotary club of Maple Grove was honored at the district conference  held on May 1st at Central Park in Brooklyn Park.  Our fearless leader Raj Khankari was able to secure over $100,000 in grant money to build a dam in India to supply water to people for life, feed people in our local community during the pandemic and supplied PPE to many health care centers and nursing homes throughout the State of Minnesota.  We could not have completed this work without the support of the local Indian Association of Minnesota and the many club members who coordinated efforts and drove the supplies to these locations.

The club received a replica of the Peace Pole, which is standing at the Central Park in Brooklyn Park. All the Rotarians ate a wonderful lunch, with ice cream and listened to great music!
But that was not enough, after the event many club members from the various clubs, planted 82 trees at the Rotary Peace Forest in Brooklyn Park, off June Street. It was an unseasonably hot day but we had fun just the same!

Thank you, to all who attended and supported the projects we were able to complete this year.
