On Saturday, May 9th, the Rotary club of Maple Grove with the collaboration of the MG Park and Rec. Dept. sponsored a bee house making event. Thank you all so much for helping out with the massive Bee Hotel construction project. We took one second and sat back and looked at the fun the Bee Hotel builders were having and it was worth it. Several great comments from the kids including, "This was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be", Ethan said "We need to go do more Rotary stuff", Lily said " We can't live without pollinators".
The bee builders and their parents looked very interested in Nina's comments and slides. IWe all learned so much about bees and pollinators. Maybe we get a few ecologists and environmentalists out of this group. We also need to promote Nina's "Pollinator Crash Course" presentation scheduled for Saturday May 23 at 9:30.a.m. We hope others will learn as much as these children and adults did for the May 23rd Pollinator Crach course that will also take place at Central Park at 9:30 a.m.
Making a difference in our community and environment is a noble reason to be a Rotarian.
