On December 18th, we honoured Emma Maurice at École secondaire Le Caron as our Rotary Student of the Month for December.

Emma is a great example of benevolence and selflessness.
She's soft spoken and always does as she's asked. She has a great sense of humour and is very well respected by her peers. She often goes unnoticed except when she's away and it's quickly evident that the classroom is missing something. She's very proud of her French heritage both at school and in the community.

Emma is very devoted to her studies while also being involved with extracurricular activities. She works hard for her marks and doesn't have to worry about making excuses because she's always respectful of due dates.

Emma immerses herself in school life; both in sports and last year Emma accepted the opportunity to compete at the Skills Ontario Carpentry competition with very little experience.  She took full advantage of the opportunity to learn and get valuable practice and is very excited about returning to this year's competition.

She's often seen volunteering at French activities all over Simcoe County and puts countless hours doing scorekeeping for different sports at our home games.

Congratulations Emma for this well-deserved recognition!
