The 20-25 min. presentation focuses on the story of In the Absence of Honor and how the Indian Reservation setting behind the story is drawn into the real world of corruption, power and greed that extends well beyond the local Indian casino.  The presentation is interactive as I involve the audience with their questions about casinos, the writing process, publishing and the promotion required of new authors..  It seems that everyone likes the approach and has fun.

Technology
Over the past few decades many facets of life have been radically changed by technology, and primarily for the better.  We have seen many examples, however, of technology advancing beyond the point that it becomes useful or usable to the average person.  Complexity has been added without meaningful functionality.  When we buy a technology-based product, we often end up paying for "bells and whistles" that never get used, and worse yet get in the way of doing what we originally intended with the product.
