Speaker June 13 Terry Parke, Boy Scouts

Terry Parke made a return visit to our club. He's also a Rotarian in Schaumburg. He brought us up to date on what the Boy Scouts are doing in his district which includes Schiller Park.

In our area there are two boy scout camps. No hand held devices are allowed. The Boy Scouts are developing youth for tomorrow. Older boys teach younger boys. One of their fund-raisers is to sell popcorn. Their budget is over one million dollars per year. The Scout program slogan is "Do a good turn daily". They are here to help others, make the world a better place and leave it cleaner.
