Jen Wolff and Georgia Winson with Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach gave us a presentation on their non-profit organization.  They engage hospitals, corporations, donors, volunteers and healthcare workers in more than 75 countries to build a bridge between surplus in the United States healthcare system and devastating needs in healthcare around the world.  In 2013, 50 hospitals and 18 clinics participated and their partner hospitals were able to save 803,329 pounds of medical supplies and equipment from landfills in the Midwest.  The supplies and equipment saved were repurposed and sent to medical missions in 39 countries.Image,329
