The holidays will be brighter for the recipients of Airline Surplus Project items. Because the ASIG building is being torn down soon, we have put a stronger effort in getting these items to those in need. This month thanks to Pat and Jack Ranttila, Ed Jacob and Chuck Henschel we have made progress! The agencies we supported were: *SOS Children's Villages for their Las Posadas celebration in the Back of the Yards neighborhood; *Marillac Project Hope at 2829 W Jackson in Chicago; *Deborah's Place at 2822 West Jackson in Chicago; *St. Augustine Center for American Indians at 4512 N Sheridan in Chicago; *St Sabina Academy families in Southside Chicago; *Ridgewood High School Interact in Norridge IL for their Sandwich Project; *The Beloved Faith Community of St. Sabina for their Christmas Day dinner for the homeless; *Franciscan Harrison Shelter at 2715 W Harrison in Chicago; *Chicago Lights (an urban support group) with the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago; *McKinley-Vento Homeless Liaison for Children and Youth picked up by Tom Bookler; *Irving Park Community Food Pantry. The *Welcome Basket Project closet received the last of the blankets and enough amenity kits to last the year. It has been a busy month with lots of grateful agencies!
