My Joyful Heart Visits us

Diane gave us an overview of what they do for the Heart kids. To get enrolled in My Joyful Heart, usually a social worker at the school notices a child in need. When accepted, a teacher fills out an individualized form specifically for each child. Diane has their warehouse set up like a mini Wal-Mart. Per the form submitted, each child's needs are addressed, size-wise, color-wise. Volunteers pack 3500 individual packages per year. They sponsor 472 kids and give them 7 gift bags each. Our club sponsors two children each year ($420 per year). In addition, we donate dictionaries and thesaurus, plus back to school needed items. For more information, visit www.myjoyfulheart.org
