Rotary president recognized for efforts to resettle Ukrainians in Parry Sound
A maximum of 150 individuals are honoured with the award every year

The president of the Rotary Club of Parry Sound has been awarded Rotary International’s highest honour.
Linda West was selected by the Rotary International board to receive the 2022-2023 Service Above Self Award for her tireless efforts in assisting Ukrainians to resettle in Parry Sound.
The Rotary Club of Parry Sound said they were beyond proud of their president.
According to the local club, the award is only presented to a lucky 150 individuals of the 1.2 million Rotarians every year.
The honour is bestowed to Rotarians who exhibit one of Rotary’s mottos, Service Above Self, by volunteering their time and efforts to help others in their community.
Due to the great effort by the Rotary Club of Parry Sound - Linda West, has been selected by the RI Board of Directors to receive the 2022-23 Service Above Self Award. This award is considered Rotary International’s highest honor to bestow on a member.
