Our membership options are designed to allow you to participate in Rotary in the way that best fits your professional and personal circumstances. The Individual Membership is the membership option selected by most members. The other options are based on it.
All new members pay an initiation fee ($150) but are not charged the monthly dues for the month in which the member is inducted. All members are also asked each year to contribute financially to The Rotary Foundation.
Individual Membership ($120/month)
Membership Includes (with no additional cost):
- Annual Dues to Rotary International
- Annual Dues to Rotary District 5170
- Annual Dues to the Sunnyvale Rotary Club
- Lunches at all club meetings
- Lunch for one guest/month
- Lunch for prospective members invited as guests
Community Membership ($60/month)
- Ideal for those who are unable to join our meetings for lunch but want to be involved and support Rotary ideals and community services projects
- Enjoy the same benefits as individual member except that member must pay the cost of any lunch attended
Young Professional Membership ($96/month)
- Members who are 35 years of age or younger enjoy the same benefits as an individual member at a lower cost
Family Membership ($180/month)
- Same benefits as an individual membership for one member plus one immediate family member (spouse, partner, parent, or adult child)
- Both members are voting members of the club, but only one may vote on the board of directors
Civic/Nonprofit Membership ($300/month)
- Same benefits as an individual membership for up to 3 members
- Another person from the organization may attend lunch in place of an absent member
- Can add additional members at $60/month per additional member
- Elected positions do not qualify someone to be a member under this membership type
- Maximum of three members may vote on the board of directors
- Includes sponsorship recognition on the Sunnyvale Rotary website
Corporate Membership ($420/month)
- Same benefits as an individual membership for up to 3 members
- Another person from the organization may attend lunch in place of an absent member
- Can add additional members at $60/month per additional member
- Maximum of three members may vote on the board of directors
- Includes sponsorship recognition on the Sunnyvale Rotary website
Honorary Membership ($0/month)
- For those who distinguish themselves by meritorious service and embody Rotary ideals or those considered friends for their support of Rotary
- Not a voting member or eligible for club office
- Must be elected by the Rotary board of directors.
