Students Develop Business Plans at Rotary Conference
Students from 21 area high schools were invited to the sixth annual Rotary Enterprise Leadership Conference held over three days in Santa Clara and the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, March 11-134.
Rotarian and ELC booster, Joe Ribera, with the able assistance of Shane Jacksteit, Mike Klein, and Michelle Lewis, reviewed the history, purpose and outcomes of the 6th annual Rotary ELC conference.  A detailed article on ELC 2015 was published in an earlier bulletin and should appear in the Sun this coming Friday.  The team was assisted unexpectedly by Ben Huang, visiting District 5170 Interact Council Outreach Coordinator.  Ben attended ELC 2015 as a guest of the Rotary Club of Campbell-West San Jose and was able to share his experience and opinion of the program with the audience.  The ELC 2016 steering committee held its first meeting March 26 and plans for the event are well underway.  The matter of Sunnyvale continued support of ELC will be discussed at the Board meeting, April 13.
