Youth and Resources
Our guest speaker on May 19, was Angela Chan, Sunnyvale Neighborhood Center's Youth and Resources Manager. More information regarding CNC can be found at Columbia Neighborhood Center.Amoung the many community services provided to low income families are a Legal Clinic staffed by the South Asian Bar Association and free and low cost medical services provided through the Mayview Community Health Center located at the site. One program that drew considerable interest from the club members involves children reading to pets. This program encourages children to read to a non-threatening and attentive audience of pets. The CNC is a operated by the City of Sunnyvale and comes under the Department of Libraries and Community Services.
