This is the 100th anniversary of our Rotary Foundation, a wonderful organization with nearly 100% of all of our donations going to work for humanity locally and worldwide. Some clubs have 100% of their members as Paul Harris Fellows ($1000 in donation to the Foundation equals 1000 points). A fellow Rotarian in The Villages recently donated $200,000 and offered to donate points through the end of March to assist people to reach the Paul Harris level.
This generous donor will match your points up to $500/500 points so any monies that are currently in your bank or donated during this time will be doubles giving you the ability to become a Paul Harris Fellow that much quicker. Many of you are much closer than you think!
If you would like to know where you stand on your points or are interested in accelerating a donation to make sure you take advantage of this great opportunity, please contact our Foundation Chair Mike Pepin at 386.296.2533 or email him at

Todd Huffstickler, Executive Vice President of Vann Data Services

Vann Data Services has been providing IT Support services for companies in the Volusia/Flagler county area for over 39 years.  Specifically, we manage our customers’ IT infrastructure, providing complete help desk and project support.  We work with our customers to decrease their unintended downtime, minimize their security risks and data loss risk, and really…help them to be more productive.
Todd moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1982 to attend Embry Riddle.  He graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an Associate’s degree in Management.  Before he graduated, he also had met the love of his life, Janice, who coincidentally had a family computer business.   It truly was a match made in heaven.   They will be celebrating 30 years of marriage in September and have two children, John, 26 and Emily, 24.
Todd is very active in his church, First Baptist of Daytona, where he serves as a Deacon and works in the College ministry.
Todd loves travel and planning the next vacation, and loves to discover the best places to eat at each city he visits.

Our Club celebrated World Polio Day on Monday October 24th by raising $1600 for the Rotary Foundation.  Great job by all.

Club Leadership -- thank you President Mel!

Talk about a powerful team - Outgoing Area Governor Todd Richardson, Incoming President Joyce Shanahan and Outgoing President Mel Stack!

Last weeks meeting was full of thank you’s! First and foremost President Mel gave a Special Recognition Award to Bill Seitz for his 45 Years as Club Secretary and 50+ years of service to our Rotary Club serving as Past President, being on the board and as club secretary.

Next, we took time to thank the Golf Committee (sans Dave Schandel) for their outstanding work on this years event and presented this years recipients with the funds raised from this years event.  Thank you to both organizations for all they do to make our community a better place to live!

Finally, a few candid shots from some cuties at Easter Seals who wanted us to know that they truly appreciate the Rotary Club of Daytona Beach!

Congratulations to our 2015-16 Rotarians of the Year! Joie Alexander & Bud Fluechaus. Thank you for all you do.

Thank You Everyone!
