Wilson Field Washroom Project Going Ahead

It was recently announced by the City Of Kawartha Lakes Lindsay legacy C.H.E.S.T. Fund 2017 program that our Rotary Club has been successful with their application for funding. The letter was received on February 8, 2017 from the City that our Rotary Club will be awarded $144,389.67 to be used for the Wilson Field project.  This project has been ongoing for the last few years and got stalled for a little while.  It is now back up and running and will benefit all users of these wonderful facilities located in the Wilson Field complex located on Colborne Street West at St. Joseph Road.  It is expected that this project will be completed and in use by August 31, 2017 or earlier if possible.  Along with this grant, our Rotary Club has also been successful in obtaining approximately $7000.00   from the 50/50 grant fund and our Rotary Club will also be contributing a substantial amount of money to complete the funding challenge. This project when completed will allow all organizations using these facilities to expand their usage and also bring in weekend tournaments which they currently are unable to do.
