Make Ups: At the District Staff Meeting was Stuart Gold; Helen Paul earned make-ups at the District Conference and by attending the President’s Ball; Fay Logan attended the President’s Ball; Cindy Rose earned a make-up at the Paramus Club Meeting.

Birthdays and Anniversaries – Helen and Gene Paul celebrated their 36th anniversary, 3 days after Helen’s birthday.
Sunshine:
Ann Hopper is recovering from surgery for a torn meniscus. Nancy’s son is doing well. Mauro’s treatments are going well too.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are currently contending with adversity of one type or another.

Peter Wells was happy to offer many happy dollars for the wonderful luncheon at Season’s celebrating his father’s 50 YEARS OF PERFECT ATTENDANCE. Over 200 Rotarians and friends attended including several from our club.
Michelle Albergo was especially happy to announce her engagement to Howard which subsequently brought in many more congratulatory dollars.
Nancy Swales was happy for her family’s visit on Mother’s Day.
Stuart Gold was happy for the great event at Season’s.
Kelley O’Donnell was happy that the town has hired a new deputy clerk.
Mary Ellen Offer and June Bertini were happy to be at the meeting today.
Pat Little was happy to have established a new committee for his upcoming year as club president.
Helen Paul was happy to have received a beautiful card and bouquet of flowers from her “adopted” daughter Jackie for Mother’s Day.
Fay Logan was happy for his recent vacation.
Jan Doornbosch was happy to be sailing to Holland.
Pat DiRosa was happy to be attending her grand-daughter’s dance recital.
George Sherman was happy for the $6,000.00 worth of scholarships the club was able to provide this year and for our four outstanding RYLA candidates who will be begin their week at Indian Head Camp in Honesdale, PA on Sunday.
President Bob was happy for the highly successful food drive held at the Ridgemont A&P last Saturday and for the presence of guest Whitney deBordenave.

Only 255 Cash Raffle Tickets have been sold thus far with the drawing less than 3 weeks away. EVERY MEMBER NEEDS TO SUPPORT THIS EFFORT. OUR ABILITY TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS AND SMALL GRANTS TO A VARIETY OF WORTHY CAUSES DEPENDS ON THE SUCCESS OF OUR FUND-RAISERS – THIS ONE ESPECIALLY. Ticket order forms can be downloaded directly from the club’s website or by contacting Peter or Brittany Vozza.
Steve Fox has arranged for the club to have a booth at the Montvale Street Fair once again this year. Members are needed to man the booth for one or more 2 hour shifts between 8:30 and 5:30 on Sunday, June 1. The fair will be held rain or shine on Paragon Drive in Montvale.
President-elect Pat Little has asked that members return Interest Surveys to him asap as he is in the process of drawing up committee lists for his upcoming year as club president.
President Pat’s Installation Dinner will be held at the River Vale Country Club on Thursday, June 19. Further details are being finalized.

Meeting in the newly remodeled cafeteria at The Courtyard by Marriott, club members welcomed Larry Palant, District 7210 representative for ShelterBox.
A Rotary Project Partner since 2013, the idea for ShelterBox was introduced by a Rotarian in England in 2000, and the first 143 ShelterBoxes sent to Gujarat, India following a huge earthquake in January, 2001.
Delivering humanitarian relief in the form of equipment and materials that bring shelter, warmth and dignity to people made homeless by natural or other disasters worldwide became the mission of the organization. The contents of each box thus supply an extended family with a tent and life-saving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless.
The donation amount to sponsor each box, including delivery, is $1,000.00. Highly trained ShelterBox Response Teams distribute boxes on the ground working closely with local organizations and international aid agencies.
Since being established almost 15 years ago, ShelterBox has provided emergency shelter for people who need it most in the aftermath of more than 200 disasters in over 90 countries.
