SPECIAL FIFTH FRIDAY EVENT WAS HELD FRIDAY, MAY31 AT DEFIANT BREWING COMPANY IN PEARL RIVER, NY. A FINE TIME WAS HAD BY ALL IN WHAT IS BECOMING AN ANNUAL EVENT.

Members Present:  Bob Balentine, Bob Bustard, Ryan Cangiolosi, Irma Chazotte, Joeen Ciannella, Bernie Cohen, Jan Doornbosch, Ray Falcon, Steve Fox, Stuart Gold, Pete Jacobsen, Pat Little, Fay Logan, Kelley O’Donnell, Helen Paul, Cindy Rose, George Sherman, Brittany Vozza

Visiting Rotarians and Guests: Carol Cohen, Helen Logan, Gene Paul, Garrett O’Donnell, (son of Kelley), and Rotarian Bob Markarian of the Bergenfield Club, (guest of Irma Chazotte).

The Montvale Street Fair will be held on Paragon Drive in Montvale on Sunday, June 2 between 10 and 5. Steve Fox has arranged to have the Park Ridge Rotary Club table placed in a prime location near that of the Montvale Chamber. Set up will begin Sunday at 8:30.

Sun., 6/2 – Montvale Chamber of Commerce Annual Street Fair – 10:00-5:00 (Set up begins at 8:30) – Paragon Drive, Montvale.

Th., 6/6 – Presentation of the Dr. Stewart Alexander Scholarship will take place at the River Vale Country Club, 660 River Vale Road, River Vale, NJ – 6:00 – Italian Buffet - $30.00 per person. Guest speaker will be Dr. Michael Nevin describing the work of Dr. Alexander, and Bernie Cohen making the club’s  scholarship presentation to this year’s recipient, Robert Thorwarth.

Tues., 6/11 (Date change because of 6/18 Banner Exchange)– Board of Directors Meeting – Pascack Historical Society, 19 Ridge Ave., Park Ridge – Dinner @6:00; Meeting @ 6:30.

Fri., 6/14 – CASH RAFFLE DRAWING – The Courtyard by Marriott – 12:15

Tues., 6/18 – Banner Exchange – Macaluso’s

Fri., 6/21 – Club Meeting at The Courtyard by Marriott – 12:15. Guest speaker, Mr. Alan Krutchkoff, founder and president of Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon.

Th., 6/27 – Installation of Bob Bustard as Club President for 2013-14. Details to follow.
