Program:
by G. Sherman

Today, club members welcomed Paramus Rotarian Lois Horowitz, Chairwoman of District 7490 Friendship Exchange. Over the past 9 years, Lois has co-ordinated exchanges with Rotarians in Japan, Australia, Poland, British Columbia and Taiwan. Traveling as couples or as singles, members from District 7490 have experienced other cultures and visited national landmarks at minimal expense to themselves as lodging and most meals were provided by Rotarians in the country being visited. The only cost was for round-trip air fare and any incidentals one may have wished to purchase.

To illustrate her most recent trip to Poland, Mrs. Horowitz shared 4 huge binders of photos which she had taken during the group’s 11 day stay. She encouraged all members to take advantage of one of these truly wonderful experiences. Further information can be obtained by contacting Lois at loisibcnj@hotmail.com

In her talk, information was also presented about another frequently overlooked opportunity available through Rotary International. Rotary Fellowships are groups of Rotary members who share a common interest or who wish to enhance their Rotary experience by exploring new opportunities and making connections around the world. Over 60 diverse fellowships are currently operational. Take a look at https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/form-rotary-fellowship. You may find a whole new reason to appreciate Rotary.
