Cash Raffle Chairman Peter Wells thanked everyone for all their efforts in seeing to it that the club sold all 300 tickets this year, thus raising $7,500 for the club. Special thanks went to Brittany Vozza for all of her efforts and especially for her willingness to take on the job next year. Special thanks too to President Bob Bustard for selling 17 tickets over the past few days.

President-elect Pat Little has asked that members return Interest Surveys to him asap as he is in the process of drawing up committee lists for his upcoming year as club president.

The Installation Dinner for PE Pat will be held at the River Vale Country Club on Thursday, June 19 beginning at 6:30. Cost of the event will be $25.00 for club members and $60.00 for guests. (Club dues subsidize $35.00 of each member’s cost.) IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU RSVP PE PAT BY FRIDAY, JUNE 13!

This past week VP Vlad Zherenovsky presented congratulatory letters to the club’s scholarship winners for the school year 2013-14. They are:

Carson Badame, Kimberly Conroy, Jaclyn Mital and Nicole Southard from Park Ridge High School;

Alexa Hirschberg, Amanda Tosi and Devon Willock from Pascack Hills High School;

Park Ridge residents Lydon Kersting (Academy of Holy Angels), and Marisa Pittarelli (Bergen Tech)

Montvale resident Dana Scheffler (Immaculate Heart Academy)

Mon., 6/9 – Gov. Lenny’s last official District Staff Meeting – Hasbrouck Heights Holiday Inn – 5:30 Registration; 6:00 Meeting - $30.00

Wed., 6/11 – Dedication of bench in Park Ridge Memorial Park honoring Past President and long time member Robert Spearing. Bob was also a WWII vet, having served in Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge. Members wishing to offer reflections on Bob’s life and service should notify Pres. Bob asap and no later than Monday night. Tributes begin at noon. Several family members will be in attendance. A light luncheon in the Mancinelli Room at Park Ridge Boro Hall will follow. Memorial Park is located across from the Park Ridge railroad station.

Th., 6/19 – President Pat Little’s Installation Dinner – River Vale Country Club, 660 Rivervale Road, River Vale, NJ 07675. THERE WILL BE NO CLUB MEETING ON JUNE 20.

Fri., 6/20 – Banner Exchange – Gov. Calisto Bertin’s Installation dinner – Biaggio’s Ristorante 299 Paramus Road, Paramus.

Th., 6/26 – BBQ at Lehmann Gardens – 5:00-7:00. (NO MEETING AT THE CORNERSTONE THAT AFTERNOON)

Cash Raffle Drawing was the program today. Holder of ticket #79 won the third place prize of $525; ticket #23 won the second place prize of $975; ticket #161 won the first prize of $6,000. The big winners however were those who will be recipients of grants and scholarships from our Park Ridge Rotary Foundation. Thanks to everyone who made the raffle such a success this year and for your continued support.
