Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are currently contending with adversity of one type or another.

Happiness:

Nancy S. was happy to have been visited by her newly wedded grandson and his wife last weekend.

Cindy R. was happy to have water again in her condo. She was also happy that Stuart agreed to step in to run the meeting in President Pat’s absence.

Jan D. was happy that Dutch soccer team was able to win 3rd place in the World Cup. He was also happy to have been honored with his second Walter D. Head Award.

Bob Balentine was happy to have received a favorable health report and to have had pleasant sailing at the Cape.

Ray F. was happy for his wife’s birthday.

Bob Bustard was happy for all the support given him during his year as club president.

Bernie C. was happy to be on his way upstate to see James Taylor in concert this weekend.

Irma C. was looking forward to her manicure and pedicure later today.

Steve F. was happy for his son who gave up only 1 goal in 4 games while helping his team to win a recent soccer tournament.

June B. was happy for the beautiful day today.

Stuart G. was happy to be back at The Courtyard after a 6 week hiatus.

Our 2nd 5K Run/Walk with the Halfway Hounds is fast approaching. September 21 is only 9 weeks away and there is MUCH TO DO.

This event, so successful last year, can only succeed this year if EVERYONE in the club assists in some way. Posted in the Download section of the website to help you along are the revised SPONSORSHIP FLYER, REGISTRATION FORM, and LETTER TO SPONSORS.

 In the days ahead, attend a meeting; reach out for SPONSORS; get runners; secure donations of water and/or food; volunteer on the day of the event; DO SOMETHING TO ASSURE THE SUCCESS OF THIS EVENT! Let’s make this an event of which we can all be proud.
