In 2009, TCADR, first created in 1979, merged with the Children’s Aid and Family Services of Paramus after having collaborated for many years. Since then, the Center has continued to provide extensive resources, information, expertise and support in understanding and preventing alcohol and drug abuse. In addition the group advocates for responsive prevention and treatment services while serving as a full-service resource and referral center. Programs, services and workshops are made available to people of all ages in order to strengthen families and promote healthy lifestyles.

Ms. Elias has served as Executive Director of the agency since 1999 and was instrumental in bringing TCADR under the umbrella of CAFS. The merger has helped strengthen the mission commitments of both groups.

This space cannot begin to do justice to all of the programs available through CAFS and TCADR. A full list of school programs, community programs or programs for individuals and families is available on their extensive and easily navigated website: http://www.tcadr.org.

Customized training tailored to the needs of local schools, businesses or community organizations can be arranged by calling 201-488-8680.
