Final Club Scholarship for 2010 Presented

At the Club's January 13 meeting at Happy Days, President George was pleased to present the Club's final scholarship award for 2010 to Matthew Scheffler, a June graduate of Pascack Hills and a resident of Montvale. Matt is currently a freshman at St. Michael's College in Vermont where he is majoring in History. A stellar student through high school years and active in several volunteer groups, he chose to go to St. Michael's in part because of the college's heavy emphasis on student service to the community and to the world. Among the activities he's looking forward to is an upcoming trip to Central America to help build houses in a poverty stricken region. Ultimately, Matt hopes to use his education and training to become a teacher at the middle school or high school level. The Club is very proud of his achievements to date and wishes him well in all future endeavors.
