Ray earned an additional make-up by visiting the Clifton Club and Stuart earned another by visiting the Wyckoff Club. (Please be sure to report your make-ups for our records and to improve our percentage of attendance!)

Birthdays and Anniversaries: Although no members were celebrating birthdays or anniversaries this week, Bernie Cohen asked that we pause to remember those who were lost 71 years ago at Pearl Harbor.
Sunshine - Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are currently contending with adversity of one type or another:
Helen Paul is recuperating from a slipped disc in her back.
Irma Chazotte reported that Harriet Kallet's husband Steve was in need of a second hip replacement as a result of having a faulty device implanted during the first operation.
Linda Jones is recovering from a second operation on her ankle which she broke while vacationing in Rome.

Lisa Peck was happy to have had a wonderful vacation and to be sponsoring a used coat drive at the bank.
Pat Little was happy for all of Bernie's and Susanne's work on the fruit sale and to have been able to report a 70 % attendance rate for the club last month.
Ralph Padovano was happy not to have been late.
Jan Doornbosch was happy to have witnessed his grand-daughter's baptism in Holland last week.
Dick Beattie was happy to have gotten to a Friday meeting for two consecutive weeks.
Ray Falcon was happy for the small room and the pizza this week.
Pat DiRosa was happy to have Nancy Kilmartin back with her at the desk.
Stuart Gold was happy that his grandson had his number retired at the conclusion of the Hohokus football season.
Steve Fox was happy for his upcoming vacation and to have had his son with him at last week's fruit sale.
Nancy Kilmartin was happy that her brother Richard had proven to be such a great help at the fruit sale.
Your editor was happy that our guest speaker, Lynn, had rearranged her schedule to be with us today on such short notice.
President Joeen Ciannella was happy for the great turn out, for the cozy room and for the pizza ordered by The Courtyard.

Bernie Cohen announced that the club had netted $4500.00 from the fruit sale. Special thanks were extended to Susanne Hartmann-Silva for all the work she did throughout the sales campaign and especially over Thanksgiving weekend to prepare the order. Thanks also to Jan for the use of his warehouse and to all who helped in the distribution of the fruit. All fruit has been spoken for.
Steve Hopper and Irma Chazotte will be making arrangements for the upcoming holiday party at Lehmann Gardens. The party has been set for Thursday, December 20. Further details will be e-mailed soon.
Today's was the final club meeting of 2012. There is no meeting at Bibi'z this month. Our next club meeting will be held at The Courtyard on Friday, January 4, 2013. We hope to see you and your families at the '76 House in Tappan on Sunday, December 16 for our annual get-together. For those unable to attend, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a healthy, happy New Year.

Sun., Dec. 16 - Annual Club Holiday Party at Old '76 House 110 Main Street, Tappan, NY - Noon-2:30. President Joeen has requested that you e-mail her if you are coming to the party. Cost is $28 for adults and $14 for children. Please bring an unwrapped gift for Shelter Our Sisters. We expect many children this year so Santa will be really busy! We supply the gifts for the kids, so please let me know their names and ages.
Tues., Dec. 18 - Board of Directors Meeting - Pascack Historical Society, 19 Ridge Ave., Park Ridge. Dinner at 6:00; Meeting at 6:30.

On Friday, December 7, Park Ridge Rotarians welcomed as their guest speaker Ms. Lynn Buckingham, Community Outreach Coordinator for Rebuilding Together Bergen County. In her talk, Ms. Buckingham described the mission of the organization and its most recent activities.
Rebuilding Together is a national non-profit with over 200 affiliates, four of which are in New Jersey. Nationally, the organization seeks to assist low-income homeowners by making home modifications and repairs at no cost to those in need. Locally, over 400 volunteers worked on projects this past year that assisted three non-profit facilities and 18 individuals. Since becoming a Rebuilding Together affiliate in 1998, two hundred fifteen projects in forty-five Bergen County towns have been completed. The group's signature event, National Rebuilding Day, occurs on the last Saturday of April. On National Rebuilding Day, volunteers join local affiliate leaders to repair and restore houses and nonprofit facilities, revitalizing entire communities and making a lasting impression on the families who are served.
The devastation brought about by Superstorm Sandy made the mission of Rebuilding Together especially apropos this year. Volunteers including employees of local and national corporate sponsors, members of faith-based or civic groups and organizations, as well as individuals from the community are encouraged to become involved. If you are skilled, semi-skilled, or interested in being a general volunteer please fill out a Volunteer Registration Form on the RTBC website (http://www.rebuildingtogetherbergen.org) and be as specific as possible regarding your skills and interests. Your service is sure to be appreciated
