December 12 TRI-GEAR REPORT

Visiting Rotarians and Guests: 

Irma brought two friends.

Bob Balentine and Steve Hopper brought a prospective member.

Make Ups:

-Participants in the Fruit Sale delivery and distribution on Saturday Dec. 7th have been recorded.

-Attendees of the Holiday Party have also been recorded.

(Please be sure to report your make-ups for our records and to improve our percentage of attendance!)

Sunshine:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are currently contending with adversity of one type or another.

Happiness:

Peter Wells was happy that he was nominated to be Rotary District 7490 Governor nominee for the 2015-2016 term.

Bob Balentine, Bob Bustard, Stuart Gold, Rich Jacobs, Pat Little, & Phil Wells were all happy for Peter’s nomination.

Irma Chazotte was happy for her friend to attend the happy hour and for Peter’s nomination.

Bernie Cohen was happy for a successful fruit sale and for Peter’s nomination.

Dick Beattie was happy to give Dictionaries out with George and for Peter’s nomination.

Steve Hoppe was happy to be visiting Lehmann Gardens on December 18^th and for Peter’s nomination.

On Wednesday, December 18 club members will be visiting Lehmann Gardens from 6:00 until 8:30to spread some holiday cheer. This event has become something members and residents have come to eagerly anticipate each year.

Start making plans to attend the 2014 District Conference aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas. The Conference Package features 6 days and 5 nights aboard the ship, including 2 days and 1 night at Kings Wharf, Bermuda. Rich Jacobs, a Park Ridge Rotarian who works for TD Bank, presented the Affinity Membership Program. As of a few months ago our club is a part of this program. The Affinity Membership Program is TD Bank’s way to support Rotary by donating money for linking your bank account. Below are the highlights of the program:

Linking accounts to the “Park Ridge Rotary Affinity Membership Program.”

-Park Ridge Rotary will receive:

            $10.00 for linking an existing TD Bank account

            $50.00 for linking a new account

-Accounts must be through TD Bank.

-Linking an account doesn’t cost anything or alter the account in anyway and only can be done once.

-Linked accounts are all anonymous.

-Accounts can be linked from any location, by anyone (including non-Rotarians).

-Multiple accounts can be linked by the same person.

-It's easy to sign up. Additional information and the sign up form can be found in the Download section of the website. Can be done anytime
