Your editor was happy to learn that Rotarian guest Phil Denu has had PERFECT ATTENDANCE SINCE 1957!! Congratulations, Phil. We are happy to have you extend your remarkable accomplishment by visiting with us today.

Stuart Gold was happy for the success of our recent evening events at Demarest Farms and at Defiant Brewery.

Nancy Swales was happy to report that her son-in-law, Dan, will be returning home from Afghanistan at the end of September.

Cindy Rose was happy not only to be on time today, but to be among the first to arrive.

Irma Chazotte was happy to have had a wonderful time in Virginia Beach.

On Saturday, September 8, the club will be conducting a Canned Food Drive for the benefit of the Pascack Food Pantry. Non-perishable items will be collected at the Ridgemont A&P, 199 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge between 11:00 and 4:00. Please plan on helping out for an hour or more.

Sixteen cases of Dictionaries have been ordered for all third graders in Park Ridge, Montvale, and Woodcliff Lake Schools. They will be delivered in mid September to Jan's warehouse. (THANKS SO MUCH, JAN!) We will need several members to volunteer in the distribution of the Dictionaries to third graders at Memorial School, Montvale, Dorchester School, Woodcliff Lake, and the West Ridge, Eastbrook and Our Lady of Mercy Schools in Park Ridge. Distribution should be completed by the end of October. Rotary book plates are ready and waiting.
