Make-Ups:  Attending the August Board meeting were Vlad, Stuart, George, Irma, Ray, Phil, Cindy, Pat, June, Dick, Michelle, Linda Hanlon and Steve Hopper.  Attending the By-Laws Review meeting were Stuart, Jan and Ray. At the District Staff Meeting were Stuart, Steve Fox and Phil. Ray also earned a make-up by attending a Walter D. Head Foundation Meeting.

Pat D. was happy to have seen Momma Mia in NYC.

Fay L. was happy to recognize Linda Hanlon for all the work she did once again this year with the Scholarship Committee.
 
Jan D. was happy to have had his grandchildren visit from Holland.
 
Pres. Elect Phil was happy to be able to recognize the great accomplishments of our scholarship winners.

Senior Assistant Governor Stuart Gold commended Pres.Vlad for continuing PP Bob Bustard’s practice of forwarding the District’s bi-weekly bulletin to all members. He and the entire District leadership team are thrilled to have Bob, along with Jan D. to be serving as Assistant Governors this year. Be sure to review these e-mails to stay abreast of District activities and events.
 
Friendship Exchange Coordinator Lois Horowitz is looking for host families for a few couples from Krakow, Lodz and Warsaw, Poland who will be arriving here Sept. 1 and staying until Sept. 12. Also needed are individuals willing to drive our guests to various sites throughout our District and vicinity. Tues., 11/10 - RI President, K.R.Ravindran will visit our District on Tuesday November 10, 2015. Greet him at a "Celebration of Rotary Service" Party to be held at Season’s, Washington Township, from 6.30 to 10.30. The "Celebration of Rotary Service" will recognize District 7490 Rotarians with over 40 years of Rotary Service.

Park Ridge High School grads Stacy Laxer, Kelly Hansen and Zachary Lucanie were welcomed to The Courtyard by Marriott on Friday where they were presented with our final 3 scholarships of 2014-15. Members joined scholarship chair Linda Hanlon and president-elect Phil Wells in wishing them continued success as they embark upon their college careers. We look forward to hearing of their many anticipated achievements.
