Club Meeting of 17th October

Last Meeting October 17^th, 2006

Pres Keith welcomed Rotarians and guests and asked PP David to lead us in the National Anthem and PP Kirk the Rotary Grace.

Attendance : Â We had 24 in attendance this week, which included 5 guests. "Members in waiting" Doug Lewis from the Salvation Army, and Judy Baum from Spicelands.Â Rtn Joy had her guest Sally Madden and Pres Keith introduced Peter Davidson visiting from New Brunswick.

The welcome song to our guests was led once again by "our master of song", PP Jim!

Student Loan Fund :Â PP Jeff manned the visitor desk and Student Loan Raffle for which he collected $49. Our guest speaker Lucy Attride Stirling drew the winning tickets which were held by Walter Cook winning the cash prize and PP Danny who tried very hard to find the Ace of Hearts for the jackpot but to no avail and so once again the jackpot remains.

Business:

?Â Â ON TO BERMUDA Pres Keith reminded Rotarians that DG Charlie will visit next week during the On-To-Bermuda and asked Rotarians to make a special effort to attend.Â Please make sure you pick up your tickets for the Banquet from Pres Keith with payment made to Pembroke Rotary.Â Pres Keith was pleased with the response from Rotarians and thanked all who had responded to his request for support from the club for the On-To-Bermuda events.

Â Â Pres Keith reminded everyone to keep up the effort with increasing our membership and thanked those who had already responded especially Dir George for his outstanding effort with a list of potential members. We currently have three new members waiting for induction.
