NEW GENERATION COMMITTEE REPORT
FEB 2024

YOUTH SPEAKERS
Youth who are sponsored by Unley have all spoken at our meetings following their experiences. In February Honesio Pereira (RYLA) and Aasya Owais (NYSF) shared their experiences and the positive impact it had.

YOUNG FRIENDS OF ROTARY
Combined with St Peters Club a BBQ was held on Sunday 25th Feb at the St peter’s Shed Linde Reserve Stepney. St Peter’s Club provided a delicious BBQ for the 14 young friends who attended. Stephen Baker and I attended. The group decided this year to support ROMAC. They will volunteer to visit the children in hospital to read, play games, chat & sing. This will also give the parents an opportunity of respite. They also are planning a film evening and contributing to a stall (s) at Mitcham Girl’s High fete in December.

YOUTH MUSIC AWARDS
Rhonda gave a presentation on Event Management to the TABOR students on Thursday 1st March and following the presentation teams were formed to work with the Youth Committee to manage the event. They will be responsible for Website, Posters, Ticketing and Logistics and Facilities. The Event management component of their degree course is assessable, and Rhonda will provide feedback towards their grades.
