The Mission of the Rotary Club of Arden Arcade is to; Honor its commitments and continue its legacy of community service programs and charitable giving in the application of the ideal of “service above self.” Inspire its members to become the leaders who will shape the future of Rotary. Grow and become a stronger club that embodies the mission, objective and vision of Rotary International.
At the Del Paso Country Club on the evening of February 23, 1955, exactly 50 years from the evening of February 23, 1905, when Paul Harris called the first meeting of Rotary, the "Golden Anniversary Club" of Arden-Arcade was chartered. Ray McClure, a Past-President of our sponsoring club, North Sacramento, accepted the charter as founding President on behalf of his new 22 member club.
As the membership multiplied in a few short years this new club established itself as a prominent force in the community. Pride of membership in Arden-Arcade is evident in new members as they become aware of their club's activities in District 5180. Our programs to support youth projects, scholarships, and international service have been consistently maintained by the members over the years and our Foundation is working to support them in long into the future.
