For the past eight years, I have shared my journey of a brain cancer diagnosis. As I begin my ninth year of survivorship, we have as a family an extra incentive to fund raise for research. I have always had my family and so many friends by my side. My father “Arnie” has been so steadfast in his support and love. Unfortunately, he has also been diagnosed with Glioblastoma, in February of this year. He has been through surgery and is beginning chemotherapy and radiation. He will celebrate his 92nd birthday this June. I thought I was a strong individual but to see him face this is amazing. I began at age 57 to tackle the challenge before me. I can’t imagine how this feels to him. So as we bring back KARR’s Kure for the Melon, please join us on April 30th at Maggie Daley Park for the 2023 ABTA 5K Run/Walk.
