Melissa Pepper is a dynamic leader whose career has spanned major roles in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors—from the House of Blues to the Girl Scouts and the OKC Chamber. Now serving as Executive Director of The Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park, she brings her passion for culture, community, and connection to the heart of Oklahoma City.

Melissa Pepper has called Oklahoma City home since 2013. Originally from Kansas City and a proud graduate of the University of Kansas, she brings a wealth of experience from a career that spans both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

Melissa has held significant roles throughout her career, including:

  • Director of Sponsorship, Sales, and Marketing for the House of Blues Club Network Division

  • Director of Festivals and Events at Myriad Botanical Gardens

  • Major Gifts Officer for the OETA Foundation

  • Chief Development Officer at Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma

  • Vice President of Membership for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber

In her new role as Executive Director of The Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park, Melissa draws on her extensive background in event planning, fundraising, membership development, capital campaigns, and nonprofit leadership to enrich the cultural landscape of Oklahoma City.

Deeply committed to her community, Melissa is an active member of Downtown Rotary Club 29, serves on Leadership Oklahoma City’s Alumni Board, and contributes to the United Way’s Capital Campaign Board. She is passionate about fostering connections and supporting the growth of Oklahoma.

When she’s not busy making an impact at work or in the community, Melissa resides in Edmond, where she enjoys quality time with her son and dog.
