Zambia Water Project The Raytown Rotary Club and the Kitwe North Rotary Club partnered on a Global Grant to provide 15 boreholes in four communities outside Kitwe, Zambia. The award was in the amount of $40,001.00. This was the first Rotary Global Grant that Raytown Rotary has ever participated in. The project was to provide clean water and sanitation to 4 rural communities. This also closely follows Rotary’s effort to eradicate polio. |
Home Preservation Program Raytown excels in so many ways. Homeowners in Raytown who meet the criteria can qualify for funds up to $5,000 for minor home repairs, painting, or winterization. |
Shoes for Orphan Souls For 22 years, District 6040 has participated in an annual shoe and sock drive in partnership with Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls.

Playground Equipment - Tongue Drums The Rotary Club of Raytown and the Raytown Parks Department applied for a grant through Rotary International to install new, inclusive playground equipment. These Tongue Drums were installed at C. Lee Kenagy Park on January 27, 2023.  |
Annual Poinsettia Delivery Each year the Raytown Rotary Club gathers up poinsettias donated by local nurseries and takes them to area extended care facilities. This is an enjoyable event that many Rotarians and their families participate in yearly. It is also welcomed warmly within the Raytown community. This year the poinsettias were donated by Farrand Farms, and the beauty of seeing so many plants in full bloom at their Noland Road facility is truly a sight to see! |
Little Free Libraries This year, we received matching funds from Rotary District 6040 to improve the Hawklets’ Nest Library at Three Trails Preschool and to promote the Little Free Libraries that the Club has in the two Raytown Parks. |
Rotarians in Missouri and Honduras Partner to Combat the Pandemic Covid-19 is a global pandemic that changed the lives of individuals and families worldwide, claiming lives and forcing everyone to adjust to new social distancing rules and country-wide lockdowns to keep others safe. One of the few things that were found to aid in preventing the spread of the disease when close contact with others was unavoidable is the use of Personal Protective Equipment or PPE. |

Annual InstallationThe 60th Annual Installation of the 2021-2022 Officers & Directors will be scheduled for July 12, 2022, at V's Restaurant on 40 Hiway. Social begins at 6:15 with a buffet dinner at 7:00 followed by the installation of the new Club Executives and Board Members.
