Colourfest Annual Event
Colorfest is an annual community event sponsored by the BIA in late September and is supported by the Haliburton Rotary Club. The Rotary Club supplies pumpkins and prizes for several age group events testing your pumpkin rolling skills. Kids write their names or decorate pumpkins for the event and then kids line up at top of York and Highland Streets to roll pumpkins down the slope . On a signal, pumpkins are released to see how far downhill the road they will go. It is a hoot and fun to watch even if you are not participating ! Prizes are awarded for the longest roll, the shortest roll, the “wobbliest” attempt and the pumpkin closest to a marker in the street. Come out and watch kids and adults have fun in the fall !
