What a summer of music, community and good times at Haliburton Rotary Music in the Park 2026!
From June 30 through September 1, the shores of Head Lake were filled with music every Tuesday evening. Families, friends, visitors and music lovers gathered with their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy an incredible lineup of talented musicians — and to experience one of the best things about summer in Haliburton.
This year’s performers included Radio Rockers, Jeff Moulton & Friends, Benton Brown & The Low Down, Shannon Butcher, Ragged Company, Ryan Van Lee, Recycled Teenagers, Adverse Conditions, Suzie Vinnick and The Rockin’ Bobs. What a fantastic variety of music!

It takes a community to make Music in the Park happen
Special thanks go to Walter Tose and the Haliburton County Folk Society for their tremendous help organizing and coordinating the musicians throughout the season.
And behind the scenes, our sound technicians Mike Knight and Marcus Thompson kept the music sounding great week after week. Their work — often happening long before the first note and continuing after the last — is an essential part of every successful Music in the Park evening.
We are also grateful to the Municipality of Dysart for allowing Rotary to use the beautiful Head Lake Park as our home for the summer.
Of course, Mother Nature occasionally had other plans!
When the weather wouldn't allow us to gather at the park, Mike and Cheryl Waller generously made the Haliburton Legion available to us. Their support meant that the music could continue even when the weather didn't cooperate. A very special thank you to them!

And thank you to everyone who dropped a donation into the bucket. Every dollar donated to Music in the Park goes back into our community. As our MC reminded audiences throughout the summer, the performers are supported by our sponsors, allowing donations collected at the concerts to be directed toward future Rotary community projects and initiatives.

The Haliburton Rotary Club has a long history of putting funds raised through our community events back into projects that make a difference locally.
Among the many community initiatives Rotary has supported are the Head Lake Park bandshell, the Head Lake Park playground and the Haliburton skatepark — projects that provide places for people of all ages to gather, play, enjoy themselves and connect with our community.
